THOMAS JACKSON FARMER, JR

PULASKI, VA– Thomas Jackson Farmer, Jr., age 47, died February 13, 2018. He was born October 21, 1970 in Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, Rank E5 Sergeant serving in Iraq. He was of the Methodist faith. Thomas always had a wonderful sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Jack and Stella Powers; one brother Keith Farmer; and paternal grandparents: Jack and Janie Farmer.

Survivors include his father: Thomas Farmer, Sr. life partner Lorraine Whaley of Nickelsville, VA; mother: Teresa Blankenbeckler and husband Phil of Pulaski, VA; cousins, and a host of friends also survive.

The Funeral service for Thomas Jackson Farmer, Jr. will be conducted 7 pm, Sunday, February 18, 2018 in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Darrell Harmon officiating. Burial will be 11 am Monday, February, 19, 2018 in Ketron Memorial Gardens, Lebanon, VA. Those wishing to attend are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 am to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm prior to the service. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Lebanon V.F.W. Post #9864. Pallbearers will be Ethan Virts, Eric Alsup, Phillip Powers, Daniel Farmer, Danny Farmer, and Greg Kiser.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.

Margaret Snead Addison

BRISTOL, VA – Margaret Snead Addison passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 in Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born September 13, 1936 to her late parents, Henry Carter and Maudie Hess Snead. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son: Michael Honaker and a brother: Lee Snead.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Mike Addison of the home; sister-in-law: Shelby Snead of Honaker, VA; niece: Alicia McGlothlin of Honaker, VA; and nephew: Terry Snead of Honaker, VA. Several great nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Margaret Snead Addison will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2018 in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel with the Reverend Jerry Russell officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Ketron Memorial Cemetery. Those wishing to go in procession are asked to meet at the Combs Funeral Service at 10:30 a.m. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. prior to service.

Pallbearers will be Trigg Moore, Michael Moore, Terry Snead, Tim Gibson, Tom Dillon, and Ernie Keene.

MAURICE (Maury) H. WALTERS, JR.

CLEVELAND, VA – Maurice (Maury) H. Walters, Jr, age 69, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Maple Grove Nursing Home in Lebanon, VA. Born January 2, 1949 in Alexandria, VA to his late parents, Maurice, Sr. and Dora Mildred Huffman Walters. He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael David Walters and sister Cheryl Lynn Walters. Maury lived most of his life in the Lebanon, VA area.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol Breeding Walters; son: Mark Alan Walters and wife Dena Ball Walters and grandson Chance Alan Walters; sister-in-law: Brenda Breeding Thompson; nephew: Isaac Lynn Thompson; best friend and companion Nubbin and a host of good friends and relatives.

Funeral services for Maurice (Maury) H. Walters, Jr will be Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Randy Cross officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. prior to service. Entombment will be Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 11:00 at Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Lebanon, VA. Those wishing to go in procession are ask to meet at Combs Funeral Service at 10:30. Pallbearers will be friends and family. OCIE ANN STACY

ROSEDALE– Ocie Ann Stacy, age 93, went to be with the Lord, February 10, 2018 in Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born February 22, 1924, daughter of the late William P. and Della May Wagner Horn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Artemis (Buster) Davis and second husband, Greely Stacy: one daughter: Shirley Sturgill; sister: Orpha Kidd; three brothers: Raymond Horn, Lonze Horn and Clarence Horn; one great grandchild: Ruby Carmen Rash.

Survivors include one daughter: Syvilla Honaker and husband Hobert of Whitewood, VA; one son: Ralph Davis and wife Betty Jo of Kissimmee, FL; son-in-law: Dentis Sturgill of Blountville, TN; three sisters: Rosa Mullins of Claypool Hill, VA, Gladys Cantrell of Lynchburg, VA and Adde Leigh Davis of Rosedale, VA; one brother: Gilbert Horn and wife Edna of Paynesville, WV; five grandchildren: Jeffery Scott Davis, Greg Allen Davis, Dewayne Sturgill, Jeanita Large and Carrie Melanie McMillen; four great grandchildren: Jessica Lynn Davis, Meghan Lynn Davis, Zachery Sturgill, Mac McMillen and Matthew Davis; special caretaker: Nola White: special ladies: Pearlie Ramsey, Doris Dye, Joy Smith, Elsie Boardwine and Pam Ratliff. She is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

Funeral services for Ocie Ann Stacy will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel with Elders, Phillip Flannery, Aaron Williams and Travis Davis officiating. Entombment will follow in the Ketron Memorial Garden Mausoleum. A night service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 in the Combs Funeral Service Chapel. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. prior to service. Pallbearers will be Shannon Large, Dentis Sturgill, Brian Coleman and Jonathan Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Horn, Tony Asbury, Randall White, Tony Ratliff and Dave Honaker.

DIANNA BRANHAM PRUITT

LEBANON, VA– Dianna Branham Pruitt, age 58, passed away February 8, 2018 in Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born December 19, 1959. Dianna is survived by her parents: Leonard and Eileen Branham of Honaker, Virginia; two sons: Joshua Pruitt and Johnathan Pruitt, both of Lebanon, Virginia; and two precious grandchildren: Alex and Emma Pruitt of Lebanon, Va. Also surviving, the father of her children: Michael Pruitt and wife Teresa; several cousins; and a host of friends.

She was a 1978 graduate of Honaker High School. She was a 12 year employee of Lab Corp in Bristol, TN, and more recently Urgent Care in Lebanon. Dianna was a member of Honaker United Methodist Church.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2018 in the Ketron Memorial Mausoleum with the Rev. Aaron Atchley officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Pallbearers will be John Dye, Danny Fields, Mark Crabtree, Benny Chafin, Darrell Fields and Scotty Kiser. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the Honaker United Methodist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Lebanon Animal Shelter or the Humane Society of the U.S., 1255 23rd St. N.W., Washington, D.C., 20037.
